Qualification: · BS degree in Computer Science, Math, or related field or equivalent experience. · Experience with Python, but also Java, although the candidate will not be writing in Java. · Five or more years as an Object Oriented Software Development Engineer. · Hands-on experience with Java, Groovy, Go, OO Perl, or other OO languages will be considered. · Five or more years in site reliability or production service engineering function for a large scale distributed system. · Five or more years of prior experience and knowledge of web technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX. · Experience in Linux/UNIX OS internals. · Knowledge of networking concepts, database concepts, and a cloud background in distributed systems. · Expertise in managing project timelines and executive communication. · Ability to work in large scale distributed systems, engineering management, and administration. · Hands-on experience in hardware configuration, OS, platform, and network and data modeling. · Experience in n-Tier application support. · Solid knowledge of SQL database. · Experience in production datacenter and application experience. · Experience with HW installs, OS installs, system level troubleshooting, and network support. · Network engineering design and implementation experience. · Exposure to architecture assessment for performance, availability and scalability. · Hands-on experience with Cloud implementations (Amazon AWS, VMware, and Savvis). · Knowledge of rollback and recovery modeling. · Ability to interface with horizontal team with focus on building trust among developers, QA, and business teams and help uplift the “certainty factor” in product delivery life cycle.
