You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining
highly scalable solutions including continuous delivery, optimization,
monitoring, release management and support for all development application
systems and environments.
As a member of the engineering team, you will work alongside software
engineers to ensure our services and products seamlessly move from
development through testing and into release.
You must be innovative, flexible, self-directed, and able to function at a
very high level in a fast paced environment along with a team of very
talented engineers.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for defining and implementing strategies for continuous
integration and release management
Drive the adoption of application deployment strategies (on-premise and
cloud)
Support and improve our tools for continuous integration, automated testing
and release management
Act as a technologist resource, to guide development teams through
continuous integration adoption
Support a distributed, high availability software development environment
Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI,
Documentation Practices, Refactoring and Testing Techniques
Able to deliver commercial products for on-premise and in IAAS / PAAS /
SAAS environments
Create and implement branch and merge strategies.
*Qualifications: *
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or relevant Engineering discipline
5+ years professional experience in software engineering
3+ years experience creating and managing Continuous Integration and
Deployment systems.
Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum practices, git-flow, and external
branch management.
Strong Java, Linux, Mac, scripting, networking, and database skills.
Strong Knowledge of deploying enterprise applications on-premises and in
the cloud.
Experience administrating and integrating Jira, Bamboo, and BitBucket for
CI/CD.
Experience with automation/configuration management using
Ansible/Puppet/Chef.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with
engineering managers with confidence and clarity
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with design, development and testing of automated deployment
scripts. (Bamboo etc.)
Experience of build tools like Gradle, Ant, Maven, Jenkins
Strong scripting skills (bash, Python, SQL, PERL, etc).
Experience working with version control systems (git, github, Subversion,
SVN, etc)
