*Role:* DevOps Engineer *Local to NJ* *Location:* Parsippany, NJ 07059 *Duration:* 6 months (possible extensions) (need US Citizen, GC or long term extended EAD) *Main Accomplishment*: This person will be joining the R&D DevOps/ Configuration Management and Performance engineering team as a Solutions Architect to provide hands on management of Cloud native applications and design viable Continuous Integration and Continuous delivery pipelines using industry standard toolsets. *Must Haves:* - Very strong Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) - Very strong experience with Cloud providers (AWS or Google Cloud) and Cluster Compute (Docker, Mesos, Marathon, Kube) - Strong Unix/Linux administration and Application Server experience (websphere or Tomcat) - strong shell scripting and WSAdmin jython or python scripting - Strong build automation with Hudson or Jenkins, and build scripting with Ant or Maven - Strong experience with Release Management and Performance monitoring tools (wily introscope or sitecope) - Java programming knowledge and troubleshooting Java applications - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science *Plusses :* -Virtualization (VMware or Z/OS) experience -Database build/packaging with SQL scripting *Day to Day:* Insight Global is seeking a strong Dev Ops Engineer for one of our Fortune 500 clients. This person will be responsible for a mix of the following job responsibilities on a daily basis: - Architect Continuous Integration loops using Industry standard tools such as GIT, Jenkins, Docker, Maven, Sonarcube, BlackDuck, Nexus etc. - Solutions should ensure code quality with measurable risks and deviation from a known baseline - Architect Continuous Delivery pipelines using industry standard tools such as GIT, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Cloudformation etc. - Solutions should ensure 100% uptime using Blue/Green & A/B deployments strategies - Architect fault tolerant, self-healing cloud deployments using industry standard cloud providers as well as on-prem IAAS offerings. - Solutions should include monitoring, audit trail and notification process using industry standard tools such as AppDynamics, CA Wily, Sitescope, Cloud watch, Cloud trail etc. - Architect cloud solutions that are cloud provider agnostic and implement a “Infrastructure as code” strategy to environment builds using Terraform, Cloudformation and Ansible. - Architect SCM branching strategies specifically as it related GIT workflows - Design single click environment builds that include post verification and automated testing.
