I think that a very good thing, in order to spare less memory, would be
to use shared surfaces in many apps for icons and bitmaps.
Thay could be created with a special flag and using shm shared among all
apps with a 'name' that the app give to the surface : so GTK and Qt could,
instead of loading and image every time, look before for the same image if already
loaded.
This could even allow sharing icons and pixmaps data among GTK and Qt apps!!!!
