I'm not an active developer for this project, but I am a programmer and was wondering whether it might be possible to add what I call the "sliding layers" function to directfb.
Sliding layers is the effect that you get on the Amiga workbench (and on Enlightenment's emulation of same) where the layers are prioritized front-to-back and you can use the mouse to slide the front layer down to reveal portions of the layer(s) behind it. You can also use a key combination to flip through the layers. I know that the amiga supported that kind of function in hardware and I'm not sure that any other graphic chip does. But it would be great to at least virtualize it in directfb. That way you could slide your main desktop down and see whats going on in an OpenGL layer behind it etc etc. Maybe this functionality already exists. In any case I think it would be very cool. Any comments? (probably the typical "If you think its so great, why don't you implement it ;-)" Thanks, Jim Burnes -- Info: To unsubscribe send a mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe directfb-dev" as subject.
