Hi Sven,

Sorry for my tardiness, I was at ols last week and could not test
anything here at home.

OK, I can map an LIRC key to tab and see what happens, but I think
it's moot because due to the fact that I have a "key_press_event"
signal defined for the GtkCList and it is being called whenever I
press a key on my LIRC remote means that the GtkCList has focus, no?

Unfortunately, I don't have one attached, or that is something I would
have tried way long ago. I don't have a spare ps/2 keyboard around
here to try either. :-(

Understood.

OK, set the return to FALSE, and I do see the debugging from my event
handler, but still, no navigation in the GtkCList.

99.9%. Can you give me a test (i.e. some code from the changeset that
fixed keyboard navigation that I can look for etc.) so I can be
100% sure?
