I have 2 images in a window one draws underneath and one on the top.

The image on the top has transparency but it seems to blend with the window background
rather than the image drawn below it, i'm using png's and using SDL (so i can run my
program in X).

I've tried:
1. Using a window surface (Window->GetSurface()), render (ImageProvider->RenderTo())
the underneath image first and then the second
2. A window surface and a sub surface (Surface->GetSubSurface()) of the window's
primary surface, render the underneath image to the window's surface and the top image
to the sub surface
3. A sub window's surface, render the underneath image first and the top last

They all have the same output, blending with my background rather than my image

Anyone got any ideas on how i can get this working?

NOTE: I don't really want to create 2 windows
