I thought it would be good to have the extension worked into a window manager somehow. Would librep wrappers for the get/set transparency calls help? I think sawfish might be scriptable that way. Right now, the api exported by the extension is pretty small, what other parts of directfb would an X11 window manager like to use? Are there any any X11 window manager maintainers reading the list that might like to experiment with this extension? The original patch was pretty experimental but it would be fun to work it into something good.
