i just tried your code and you did great work. you are - its bit a slow, but it works good. can you tune it a little more to get it running faster? i really like to use it. i have long been waiting for a xine or mplayer plugin and now its finally in a 'almost ready' state.

try to get it in the xine / directfb cvs if you fixed the speed issue. it would be worth it!

Hi,
I have written a VideoProvider for xine.
It uses an experimental video driver; it works and seems stable,
but video quality is not the best and it's too slow at 32bpp.
However it's a start point.
Requires DirectFB 0.9.21 and xine-lib 1.0.0 (tested on rc2).

Get it here:

Your message comes in the right moment. I have great updates on this VideoProvider (mainly on the video driver part):
now colorspace conversion (YUV->RGB) seems to work properly, all functions are about 20-50% faster, added real
24 bpp support, fixed some bug and something else I don't remind.
We have control over brightness, too.
