Were you able to recover without the reset button?

0.9.12 didn't use hardware acceleration.

My G200 locks up completely with AGP 2x. Maybe you should try with 1x. To 
do that you need to change MGA_DEFAULT_AGP_MODE to 1 in 
Mesa/src/drv/mga/server/mga_dri.h and do a make in Mesa/src/drv/mga 
directory.
