I'm interested in merging the DirectFB fork of viafb with VIAs own viafb, if VIA can be persuaded to accept patches.
I have not sat down to compare the two yet... but I think these features need to be copied to VIA's version:
* mmapping the accelerator IO space * vertical blanking interrupt handler and ioctl * the flag that disables the deinterlacing filter in the tv-out chip.
Are there any others?
Another thing: There will be a new "unichrome" driver committed to CVS soon, if that's ok with you? It's the same driver as cle266, except that it can be made to recognize and run on any Unichrome device, including the Pro models. When it is verified to work ok, we can remove the cle266 directory.
