Hi,
Good news [ at leats for me ] !!!
I have harcoded some parameters in "uc_overlay.c" and now I have a nice
configuration.
I have done:
- I have hardcoded hwrev to 3 (althought I have hwrev 17 )
- I have added at the end of "uc_ovl_init_layer" the following lines:
VIA_OUT( ucdrv->hwregs, 0x284, 0x1f0018f2 );
VIA_OUT( ucdrv->hwregs, 0x288, 0x00001c00 );
Indeed, I have modified some hardware registers. I got numbers from
directfb-dev forum.
----------------------
Many thanks for your cooperation !!!

Thanks. The setting I suspected was wrong, isn't. So, we'll have to
compare with someone elses X setup. I've not received any offers to help
out with that on unichrome-devel. They all have old hardware, like me
... so I am going to try unichrome-users instead. If no one responds
their either, please prepare to install X windows. :-(
Anyway, I can't expect end users to be savvy enough to play video full
screen and run the dumpvideo.c program at the same time, especially if
it's a living room setup without ssh installed... so could you please
check if your problem persists if you make the overlay smaller, as if
running in a window?
Another thought: are you using the alpha blending function in any way,
e.g to display subtitles? The alpha layer has its own fifo, so turning
it off could change things. If it's off, just leave it off.
/Andreas
