Alex, I'm also interested in getting intelfb to work on the local
laptop LCD.  Specifically, I have the 855GME, and an odd resolution of
1280x800, which I have also just started exploring the possibilites to
make it work with the intelfb driver.  I'm not yet sure how much of a
headache non-standard sizes are going to be with this chipset (which
already requires patching the VBIOS to work with X, it seems).
Anyways, if you would like to colloborate in anyway, please let me
know.
