I'm working on getting hardware accelerated opengl+directfb on a
unichrome box, for a set-top box project. The box is a Commell LV-667.

Currently I have DirectFB working, not sure if its accelerated,
on FC3 and a linux from scratch distribution. Two demos seem to
work fine (df_window and df_particle) but the others complain
about a "BUG" something to do with yres and panning - can post
the full error if needed (don't have it on me right now). When I
change terminals I can see some output from the other tests, but
its all screwed up and not fullscreen.

I have checked out mesa in various forms and had a cursory look
at DirectFBGL, ad I'm confused. There seems to be many options -
I compiled mesa (6.8.2) with directFB support as its install
docs describe, and I also compiled the mesa-embedded referred to
by directfbgl. Which is the correct, up to date path ?

Various info suggest different DRM modules, I have HW accel X
using Ivor Hewitt's DRM code, but it seems this might not be
compatible with the FBDev and mesa (?)

The docs in directfbgl seem to suggest only Matrox cards work
with HW accel(?) How hard is it to implement HW accel on the
unichrome Pro ? Where should I start ? I have plenty of funded
time to do this, and I'm an experienced programmer, though this
is the first time I've looked at the epia board and directfb.

Bye - Joel.
