For your version of xorg you could try the 'IsolateDevice' or 'SingleCard' option: http://linux.co.uk/ldp/HOWTO/XFree-Local-multi-user-HOWTO/mod_xserver_prefbusid.html Unfortunately my distro does not include X 6.9 yet...
