Thank you Ville and Attilio.

By using the cvs version of glib:
        "cvs -d:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvs/gnome -z3 co glib"
I was able to build and run the test application successfully. Now I'll move
on to building my own gtk app.

Attilio - How do I get the 3-26 snapshot? I checked the wiki:
        http://www.directfb.org/wiki/index.php/Projects:GTK_on_DirectFB
.. but didn't see any changes. Am I looking in the wrong place? Do I want the
3-26 versions of glib, gtk+, and cairo? Or just gtk+?

Again, thank you for your help.

it's a week or so GTK HEAD in CVS is broken: you've got to co the
snapshot dated 2006 03 28 (i've updated the wiki page accordingly).
