Sorry I was unaware of the patch.
I applied the patch and can do the hardware acceleration now. Thanks!
However df_xine --no-hwosd -R <MPEG2-file> works for a while and then the 
screen goes black with no-signal on the monitor although df_xine works 
without any errors/warnings even in verbose=2 mode. Killing df_xine and 
starting another df_xxx aplication also does not work. Trying to remove the 
cfbgimgblt and viafb kernel modules also does not work.
I will try to gather more info and report here with my working envorinment 
details here as soon as possible. I guess it is not a common problem and must 
be my mistake but maybe you can have a helpfull hint indeed.
