Short answer is yes gnome just converted from CVS to SVN and cairo dos git plus cvs so compatability still exits I don't know how its done.
I'll cc this to the gnome list as see if we can get some info on transitioning So we are intrested in transitioning from svn to cvs I know gtk just did it. Can someone explain how ?
