You could control (in one panel) a number of applications which are playing sound, either for correcting too different volume levels or to temporarily mute the application without changing its state. I needed this once when I was recording a stream with XMMS while hearing it. I could not stop or pause, but wanted to mute the sound temporarily or at least make it much more quiet. >> - Hardware/software equalizer (in FusionSound or alsa(?)) via driver API? > > Do you mean a global equalizer or a per-buffer one? > ALSA doesn't support equalization, therefore in both cases we have to > implement it in software. Per playback would be nice, but a global one would be enough in most cases. - -- Best regards, Denis Oliver Kropp .------------------------------------------. | DirectFB - Hardware accelerated graphics | | http://www.directfb.org/ | "------------------------------------------" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFGRzwMUtKs/mhdej4RAnTlAJ91fA5QBhHvApJufJOWu6CDdTf4wACgqSn1 n+YBI4lico3gQvF4AEhLdhs= =xyD3 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ directfb-dev mailing list [email protected] http://mail.directfb.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/directfb-dev
