Hi,

>>Can you let me know if there is any version dependency for flash to work
on Mozilla with DirectFB?

In order to have Flash working in Mozilla Firefox over DirectFB, we need to
have the plugin, hence the player contained within, working over DirectFB.
This means we need to port the given Flash player( libflashplayer.so,
libgnashplugin.so etc..) to DirectFB.

>>Can you please let me know whether we need to add any patches for flash to
work on Mozilla with DirectFB?

We have ported GNASH flash player to DirectFB. The plugin is also working
well with Mozilla Firefox over DirectFB. We are in the process of making it
stable, after which we will release the code to open source. We have done
some changes in Mozilla also for the plugin to work correctly as some low
level support for Mozilla Plugin Architecture is missing from GTK-DirectFB
(e.g GtkSocket and GtkPlug).

What's your target platform or application..??

Subject: Need clarification on Mozilla with DirectFB with flash

  Hi Siddharth,

I have built Firefox(1.5.0.3) with directFB with patches provided in the
site.
I am facing problems while loading flash content for firefox.
I tried installing the following plugins --
       libflashplayer.so
       swfdecmozilla.so
       libflash.so
       libgnashplugin.so
But flash content is not loading although plugins are getting
loaded(about:plugins).
Can you let me know if there is any version dependency for flash to work
on Mozilla with DirectFB?
Can you please let me know whether we need to add any patches for flash to
work on Mozilla with DirectFB?

  Thanks,
  Soumya.
