Siddharth,

Thanks for your quick response. Is it possible for you to make available
to me the fix made to make the transparent background images display
properly? Is the fix in the method nsImageGTK::DrawComposited32() in
nsImageGTK.cpp?

Regards

Sreeram

Subject: RE: Next release of Mozilla port to DirectFB

          Hi,

          Siddharth,

We are planning to use Firefox DFB version on our software.
After I build Firefox following the instructions at
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=357946, I am able to run
Firefox on my Fedora Core system. I applied all the patches specified in
the reference.

        >>Thats great..!!

        I find the following problems:

        1. The toolbar buttons on Firefox display junk background.
It appears as though the alpha channel information is not being
interpreted correctly.
                >> Yes, you are right. The problem was with
transparency, it has been fixed now.
        2. The program crashes while visiting some of the sites.
                >> At present we are not experiencing any such problem.
Rigorous testing may reveal some of these.

Have you encountered these problems or has any one else reported
such problems? When are you likely to make the next stable release?
        >> Very shortly. You may wish to keep an eye on DFBMozilla wiki
and Bugzilla for updates. We also welcome involvement of Open Source
developers to enhance Mozilla Firefox over DirectFB. CC-ed this to
mailing lists for reference.

        Regards,

I really appreciate your response to these questions.
