Hi, Just my thoughts:
>>>>>>>>>>>> http://odulo.net/firefox.JPG You are using DFB 0.9.25. You should upgrade to DirectFB 1.0, and Fusion is NOT required. We are running it on Fedora Core, some people are also running it on FreeBSD through SDL. Some have already got it working on embedded platforms (ARM and MIPS machines). http://odulo.net/TestGtkEmbed.JPG Here the problems really start nothing works. As siddarth tell me, it is quite strange when I launch Firefox to have two times the header directFB. Also, Auto registration of Mozilla components will generally fail (the error message): if the loading of concerned component's shared library(XPCOM related) fails at run-time which may be due to some unresolved symbols. Try compiling Firefox with --enable-debug option included in mozconfig file. This can easily show you the .so which is having load problem. Please make sure that you have applied the patch to firefox(1.5.0.3) without any rejection. >>>>>>>>>> Regards, Siddharth TATA Elxsi, INDIA -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Ludovic Desroches Sent: Sunday, July 29, 2007 1:57 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [directfb-users] Where can be the problem : hard, DFB, firefox ? Hi, I am trying since few weeks to use the widget gtkmozembed on DFB but without success. I have followed the two tutorials, the one on the DFB wiki and the second on bugzilla, with the same versions or with the newest but same result : I can't run firefox I have tried with Debian (netinstall, with and without gnome desktop) and Ubuntu, with a 865G chipset and with a GeForce 6600 GT and one more time same result. Here you can find some screenshots : http://odulo.net/gtk-demo.JPG I think there is no problem, it is ok http://odulo.net/gimp.JPG Here I don't know if it is ok. I can't see some text, for exemple I can't see button caption, I only have a black rectangle. My mouse cursor is quite strange also sometimes a square appears http://odulo.net/firefox.JPG http://odulo.net/TestGtkEmbed.JPG Here the problems really start nothing works. As siddarth tell me, it is quite strange when I launch Firefox to have two times the header directFB. Does somebody can tell me at which stage I have a problem. And for people who succeed in using firefox can you tell me more about your configuration (hard, linux distribution, if you have made other things than these tell in the tutorials). Thanks for your help Ludovic Desroches
