(retry, the mailing lists are giving headaches again)

Hi Sanju,
the documentation is there, but it is quite scattered.
Your beginning should be the DirectFB homepage, at www.directfb.org.

The main problem is that the users of DirectFB documentation can be divided into some clearly distinguishable groups.

The most important and most used documentation is the API reference documentation. This doc is complete and easily accesible from "API reference" in the menu at the homepage.

Introduction documentation for users is more scattered.
You can find a (short) introduction to the API concepts at
http://www.directfb.org/index.php?path=Documentation%2FOther+Documents
in the "old" features and concepts overview pdf, look at chapter 3.
It is also useful to look at the tutorials, accessible from the main menu under the item Development/Tutorials, or at some of the easy DirectFB applications from the DirectFB-examples package.

Finally, if you want to contribute to the DirectFB drivers, the ultimate documentation is the source code. You might find some help on certain topics in the different mailing list archives.
