I've just updated DirectFB from 1.4.1 to 1.4.13/1.5.1 and encountered
some errors on my SH7723 board with the sh7722 gfxdriver. DirectFB 1.5.1
doesn't compile due to a parameter change in dfb_surface_create_simple,
so I switched back to the latest 1.4 version.
I saw that the sh7722 driver has major changes in the driver code. It
now uses libshbeu and libuiomux to control the BEU interface. I've
checked the current kernel version, but the BEU interface is not
exported for SH7722/SH7723, only SH7724 can use it thus it is no longer
possible to use a processor other than SH7724 with the current driver
implementation.
Is this behavior expected? Is it possible to recover the old state for
processor other than SH7724 so that an update still works? What are the
plans for this driver in the future, is the sh7724 the only processor
which is supported?
