AFAIK DirectFB is fixed to /dev/fb0 (normally the "primary" port
of the G450), but besides that it runs fine on my G450.

There is no support for the TV-output at all at the moment,
neither in the kernel driver nor in the (binary only)
Matrox driver for XFree 4.x.y.
 
I don't think that the framebuffer driver will ever support
TV-output (at least not officially from Matrox). AFAIK they
don't provide specifications for that part of their chipsets,
because they must enable Macrovision "encryption" on every
TV-output. If you need TV-output from your Matrox card, IMHO
the easiest solution is to buy a VGA-to-RGB converter.
