To prevent more stupid questions, is there a documentation for having
running multiple applications on directfb?

I did what you said and tried to run mplayer on my TV and Xdfb on my
monitor:

eris:/# matroxset -f /dev/fb1 -o 1 -m 2
eris:/# fbset -fb /dev/fb1 -db \
/home/source/software/mplayer-0.90pre8/TVout/fbset.db 640x480-60
eris:/home/netzwurm# mplayer -vo directfb -fs -fb /dev/fb1 \
DOWNLOAD/donkey/video/LinuxVideos/Codename_3A_20Linux.avi

The following happened:

       ---------------------- DirectFB v0.9.13 ---------------------
             (c) 2000-2002 convergence integrated media GmbH
             (c) 2002       convergence GmbH
        -----------------------------------------------------------

(*) Multi Application Core. (with MMX support) (2002-09-29 14:58)
(*) DirectFB/misc/memcpy: using MMXEXT optimized memcpy()
(!) DirectFB/core/fbdev: Could not mmap the framebuffer!
    --> Invalid argument
(!) DirectFB/Core: Error during initialization: dfb_fbdev_join()

thanks for your help and best regards...

David
