you are running DirectFB on an 8bit frame buffer device and
GTK+-DirectFB uses a pseudo color visual then. The color flashing you
see is due to the fact that the palette is changed to the one of the
focused window. This is unavoidable. Unless you have a reason for
using 8bit you should change your frame buffer device configuration to
use 16bit or 32bit color depth.

yes, I've seen that too. Will hopefully be fixed before 0.9.15 is
released.
