XDirectFB is much faster in startup and even if you have no accelerated driver it runs very fast. There are things that are faster than with XFree 4.x and things that are slower, but could be implemented to be faster ;) > Can XDirectFB replace my XFree 4.x server on my desktop for evryday use ?
