I am trying to develop a application with translucent effect using
DirectFB. Currently i am working in Red Hat linux 7.2, Kernel
2.4.7-10, Intel Pentium III Processor (ASUS Motherboard) with AGP card
RIVA TnT2.
From my past experience I came to know that i have invoke the
framebuffer device by invoking
"/lib/modules/2.4.7-10/kernel/drivers/video/riva/rivafb.o". Hi,

I used "modprobe" command to load the "rivafb" module as follows.
modprobe rivafb.
As soon as i execute this command, the system switches out of the
graphics mode and got hung up.
How to load the module "rivafb" ?
