You can use XDirectFB and other DirectFB applications on the first head and mplayer on the second head. I'm using XDirectFB as the master with dfbterm, df_cpuload and gnome-session in my ".xsession". This way I simply start up DirectFB via startx ;) I can read mails in the dfbterm before Gnome even displays its splash screen ;) > - --- /etc/directfbrc --- > system=fbdev > fbdev=/dev/fb1 You shouldn't use /dev/fb1, the second head is handled by DirectFB completely. > ...and one more question: > When mplayer playing movies on TV in 4:3, the picture has some flutter > in bottom, and it doesn't if playing movie in 16:9 mode. I guess this is fixed via automatic triple buffering in the latest versions. -- Best regards, Denis Oliver Kropp .------------------------------------------. | DirectFB - Hardware accelerated graphics | | http://www.directfb.org/ | "------------------------------------------" Convergence GmbH -- Info: To unsubscribe send a mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe directfb-users" as subject.
