Thanks for u'r comments. I am currently executing "DirectFB" programs in text mode(Linux console). i,e., i quitted X11.
1) I have to execute an "exe", an interface which is visible to the user. Then
2) I have to develop an user interface (with menu's and submenu's) using DirectFB and place it over the "exe".
Now the user is allowed to see the "exe" at background and "DirectFB" application at foreground.
So i have to run 2 applications at the same time.
This is not possible in text mode. So i have to make my kernel a "Fusion Kernel" so that i can run multiple applications at the same time and recompile "DirectFB" with "enable-multi" option.
Say for example, the user will visualize the exe. A "DirectFB" program will be triggered by any keyboard interrupt, then the user can use the menu and submenu. And then whenever the user select a menu option an event is triggered further (say an exe is invoked). After a while the DirectFB application will disappear. The "exe" in discussion is not in way related to DirectFB.
So inorder to run 2 or more applications in text mode we have to make the kernel a "Fusion Kernel" by applying relevant patch and recompiling kernel.
Then the Fusion kernel will allow us to execute no or more exe's and DirectFB program in text mode itself.
Is my knowledge relating "DirectFB" is correct ?

Hi,
Implementing "XDirectFB" in Embedded Devices is a good idea or not ?
Not a good idea.Unlike DirectFB, XDirectFB was never designed for Embedded Devices.
