Hi everyone, Is it really required by XDirectFB that console VGA graphical mode is set (during startup) for it to work? I've wrestled in using this project only to find out that there's nothing wrong, but it will only run if I place a 'vga=xxx' or select using 'vga=ask' in my bootloader (syslinux). Is this normal? Shouldn't /etc/fb.modes be the one handling this and not the bootloader?
