Quoting Ed Sweetman:
Forgot, i'm using gcc 3.3.2
How is the error related to the gcc version, a bug?
I'm using 3.3.2 with 2.4.21-rc2 and it works.

I never said it was. I was just adding some info in case it might be related to a new gcc-ism, since the error occurs with macros i thought maybe an updated cpp is causing hiccups in older code.
Either way, i'm talking about 2.6.0, not 2.4.x so the fact that it works for you at all has nothing to do with my problems.
