Hello all,

I have been trying to use the savagefb driver for a VIA ProSavage PN133T
VT8606 TwisterT the module gets loaded but the frame buffer doesn't get
created.

The kernel log shows:
Jan 14 19:41:46 fig kernel: savagefb: mapped io at f8b25000
Jan 14 19:41:46 fig kernel: savagefb: probed videoram: 32768k
Jan 14 19:41:46 fig kernel: savagefb: Detected current MCLK value of 14 MHz
Jan 14 19:41:46 fig kernel: savagefb: frame buffer in use

Question 1: Is the chipset supported?

Question 2: The vesa driver is already included in the kernel can the
savage driver work along side it, like the matrox driver? From the last
line is suspect not.

Question 3: What are the steps that would be required to get it working,
ie how does one debug a kernel module.

I've updated the savagefb-0.4.0-linux-2.4.21-rc2.patch.bz2 patch for the
2.4.23 and 2.4.24 kernels. I think that it is okay but is a bit badly
behaved with the bootsplash-3.0.7-2.4.24.diff.bz2 patch.

Any ideas on how to get this working?

Thanks,
Duncan
