Hi, I am running RedHat9.0 on an EPIA M10000. I managed to compile the VIA Framebuffer driver 0.82 as a module and I can use it. Then I compiled DirectFB and build MPlayer. 'directfb' is one of the output-options now in MPlayer. My problem now is that scaling the video to fullscreen-size needs much CPU-Time. If I play a MPEG-I file with a resolution of 352x288 for example then it uses far less than 50% CPU on the fbdev without scaling. With scaling to fullscreen it consumpts all CPU-Time. No matter if I use fbdev or directfb as -vo. I thought that the DirectFB-Driver for the CLE266 is hardware-accelerated and that I can scale a video to fullscreen without losing so much CPU-Time. I am new to this stuff, please correct me if I understood something wrong. Or am I missing some configuration or files?
Kind regards Markus PS: I don't speak about hw-accelerated MPEG-Playback - only scaling! -- +++ GMX - die erste Adresse fr Mail, Message, More +++ Bis 31.1.: TopMail + Digicam fr nur 29 EUR http://www.gmx.net/topmail -- Info: To unsubscribe send a mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe directfb-users" as subject.
