Hi,
i just tried to use mplayer with directfb. While i can see the video i
get the following message to /var/log/message and also to the console:
"rtc: lost some interrupts at 1024Hz"
and the video playback from dvd is not as smooth as it should be. It
seems that there are a lot of dropped frames.
Looking at /proc/interrupts after ~60 seconds of mplayer replaying a dvd
CPU0

2: 0 XT-PIC cascade
3: 0 XT-PIC serial

12: 8143 XT-PIC PS/2 Mouse
14: 48412 XT-PIC ide0
15: 554 XT-PIC ide1
you can see, that there are only a few interrupts on rtc.
I am using a matrox g450 and a 900 MHz Athlon in a Asus A7v board.
Using tvtime with the --driver=DirectFB yields the same problems.
Has anybody the same problems or perhaps already a solution ?
best wishes
