No, you can only have one DirectFB application running then. Well, of
course you could hack the source of dfbterm to allow multiple terminal
windows started from one process...

Working. Just get the linux-fusion module and compile your DirectFB
with the --enable-multi configure option.

BTW: I think it's about time we make --enable-multi the default or at
least make it automatically decide what to do dependant on the
availability of fusion.h.
