I would imagine you just stick the connector in and radeonfb takes care of
the rest. Be warned that the radeon DirectFB driver is quite limited so
you won't get nearly the same level of features as you got with the G400.
My experience is limited, and limited to Radeon M6-based cards, but...
At boot, the messages in /var/log/messages show the radeonfb at least
attmpting to detect CRT and DVI monitors (and finding CRT only on my
setup.) I might be able to chase down a DVI monitor to see, if a straight
answer would be useful.
Also, my distro came with v0.1.4 of the radeonfb (RH 7.3). I
don't know when or if a newer version has been included in a standard
distribution, but found I needed at least v0.1.6 for fbset to work *at*
*all*, and have since patched up to v0.1.8 of the radeonfb.
