Hello,

I'm trying to get the CVS version of DirectFB working with a 2.6.3 kernel. I applied the fusion patch, I'm using the same directfbrc file as I did for 0.9.20 with 2.4.22 kernel, but when I modprobe the i2c-matroxfb module, the VGA monitor is garbled with some thin green vertical lines, I get no output on TV and I have to blindly reboot my machine. My TV-out is set up exactly as in Ville's howto (which worked with the 2.4 kernel).
Is it possible to get this working, or do I have to switch back to 2.4 kernel? (Unfortunately this will require me to re-compile glibc on my htpc machine, as I compiled it with NPTL support for 2.6.3 kernels).
What I'm trying to setup in the end, is VDR with softdevice output plugin, or even better, with libsoftmpeg for a WinTV-Nova DVB-S for digital sat TV, and a WinTV PVR250 for analogue terrestrial/cable TV.
Until now, I could setup freevo working with mplayer and the ivtv drivers with the PVR250, but the inability to use the multi-app feature of directfb annoyed me, it was switching video modes on TV all the time, that's why I want to go with VDR now.

I'll provide any other information to the experts when I get home again tonight, just ask what else you need to know.

Thanks in advance,
Lucian
