hi all, i'm having some difficulties getting directfb 0.9.20 to correctly recognize my unichrome device.
i've read through the mailing list, and have found a few answers to questions i had regarding cle266vgaio and the modified viafb. i'm using the modified viafb from cvs. i'm *not* trying to use cle266vgaio in any way. directfb correctly loads and registers the unichrome driver, though a strack trace of dfbinfo shows an attempt to open /dev/cle266vgaio. dfbinfo reports the graphics device as the 0.6 software rasterizer. lspci shows the unichrome device (0x3122), correctly matching the CLE266 define in via_fbobj.h. i did try creating the device after loading viafb, which causes dfbinfo to segv. this leads me to believe i need directfb from cvs if i'm going to use the modified viafb rather than cle266vgaio. i suppose the simple question is: must i use directfb from cvs with the modified viafb, or do i have another problem? i've attempted to build directfb from cvs to test this theory, but the builder bombs with an undefined symbol (_fusion_shmalloc something, i can't remember the exact symbol name, and the machine is ~30 miles away =P). time has been short, so i've only tried building it once and have not mucked around with it at all, so i may be overlooking something simple. i'll not be able to muck around with it much this weekend, though i thought i'd pick the list for a quick answer, if one exists. thanks, -mike -- Info: To unsubscribe send a mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe directfb-users" as subject.
