The thread isn't directly encouraging, but it seems that this could be a
viable option sooner or later. For now I think I will stick with loading
the module as early as possible in the normal init-scripts.
Has anyone btw seen a lot of weirdness when using viafb? I've begun
developing a small test application and in the process ran all the
examples in DirectFB-examples. They all ran ok (no crashes) but a few of
them are very "jumpy". For instance when running the app df_andi the
penguins spread out nicely and the background is shown ok, but the screen
jumps to the left and right maybe once every second. It looks like a
camera was panning 300px to the left, then back to the normal view and
then 300px to the right. A similar effect happens for a few other apps,
the screen isn't stable but jumps all over the place, a bit like some
offset to some buffer would be randomly jumbled. Has anyone seen a similar
effect using other cards?
Oh, thank you btw for the help, it was much appreciated.
Regards,
Jan Ekholm
