Yes, I'm saying I have the same CPU load issues on Windows too. So I came to
conclusion that maybe I have some hardware issues.
I was interested what should be CPU load in non-accelerated mode. (That
should be somewhat corresponding to DVDMax in Windows, I think)

Got another G550. It behaves exactly same way. So my card was fine :)

Another experiment - removed MTRR from kernel. Got worst. (+ ~25%) So it
must be worked.

Gonna try another motherboard - on different chipset NForce2 now. My current
one - Abit on VIA KT400...

CPU does fair benchmarks... so it should not be an issue...

PS. 640x480 framebuffer on WMWare takes ~20% load of Pentium4 2.6G /865G
integrated video...

Are you saying you have the same problems wih CPU load in Windows? I've
never measured my system's performance in Windows.

... For some reason your mplayer spends too much time doing this
(fast_memcpy_MMX2). That could indicate a problem with MTRRs but since
they are fine on your system I'm not sure what's going on.
