I use XDirectFB as my X server and really like the
transparency (the reason I'm using it). I'd like to be
able to control transparency automatically from
scripts (instead of manually with my mouse/keyboard).
I've recompiled my XDirectFB server with Scott
Brumbaugh's X-Transparency extension. I'm using
XDirectFB-1.0rc5 with the Transparency extension
shipped with it.
I've tried creating a command-line program that reads
a window-id and opacity value from argv, and then
calls XSetOpacity to set the given value on the given
window.
My program keeps crashing with a segmentation fault
right before it calls XSetOpacity.
Can someone give me an example.
