Sorry, I replied first without reading your link (my mailer broke it in half). I thought the original post was referring to pydfb (the pygame-like interface). The sourceforge project I posted is owned by Thomas Schueppel and was started a little while after that post to directfb-users. It is funny you should bring this up, I have been in correspondence with Thomas and I've joined that project today. My plans are to use it with Freevo / mevas.
