I tested it with an interlaced mpeg, and I got some "jumps" in the image so I used: mplayer -vf pp=lb -vo dfbmga video_file.mpg Is this the correct procedure?
mplayer has other deint functions too, test out which one is the best for you: mplayer -pphelp | grep deint.
Then I tested with a 768x576 16:9 MPEG2 source (a dvb-s recording from "BBC ONE") and all I got was a black screen... :( Any help on how to play 16:9 MPEG2 sources?
For me adding a -fs to mplayer command line helps.
Thanks for the tip. 16:9 MPEG2 sources now work.
Just one more thing, I compiled mplayer with dvb support and with --enable-menu.
But I can't see any menu at all!!
I have Subtitles and OSD (time, seek position), but no menu!
(I assigned a keyboard key to "menu up", to display the menu, but it never shows!)
Can this be related to directfb? (I didn't compile any "fusion" stuff... can this be related)?
thanks, gb
