I found out, that the image n the tv flickers a lot.
dfbinfo shows the following:
<snip>
Layer (00) Matrox CRTC2 Layer (primary layer)
Type: GRAPHICS VIDEO STILL_PICTURE
Caps: SURFACE FLICKER_FILTERING BRIGHTNESS CONTRAST HUE SATURATION FIELD_PARITY
Layer (03) Matrox CRTC2 Sub-Picture Type: GRAPHICS VIDEO STILL_PICTURE Caps: SURFACE OPACITY ALPHACHANNEL
How can I use the flicker_filtering option?
It doesn't actually work. I will remove the option after the next mplayer release.
Oh, that's sound bad. How can I get a stable image on the tv-out (g400) using directfb?
Best regards TheNop
Setting register 0x93 to 0xa2 has no effect, but setting this register when I'm using fbdev (matroxfb) the image on TV gets stable.
I'm not sure why it dosen't work with directfb (XDrectFB). ???
What graphic card should I use to get a stable image on TV and good software support under linux?
