I tried this approach last night. I managed to get xwindows working
on CRTC2 (TV), however picture qualty was really poor with red
bleeding on window edges, and slight fickering. I was able to get
Xwindows aligned with my TV set using fbset (a painful process).
Freevo or Mplayer on directfb is so far superior to when running on
Xwindows. I am using the matrox drivers that came with the 2.6.7
kernel. Any tools or tips to enhance the quality to reduce flicker,
and bleeding?

What is a flicker filter?

Thank you,
Monk.
