I hope I'm mailing the correct mailing list to post this.
Today I updated mplayer from 0.9cvs to 1.0cvs. I ran fakeroot debian/rules binary and installed the resulting package.
I needed to apt-get install libdirectfb-dev to get mplayer to compile with directfb support, although I can't remember doing this before and it worked fine so far.
The newly compiled mplayer doesn't let me play with dfbmga (Can't get CRTC2 layer - Not supported!)
When I start the newly installed mplayer I get:
