Unfortunately this patch had no effect atleast on 2.4.28. I will try the 2.6 -series as soon as I can set it up. Is there any kind of debug prints I could enable to see what's going on? Is the --enable-debug in dfb enough or would it need a kernel patch?
Replace + if (copy_from_user(&addr, argp, sizeof(addr)))
with + if (copy_from_user(&addr, (struct matroxioc_crtc2_address*)arg, sizeof(addr)))
and I think it should work with 2.4.
Yes, now it compiles fine.
