That probably rules out MPlayer being the problem, and I can't see anything in DirectFB that would cause it to automatically optimise for i686. My theory doesn't sem so likely now, unless it's in something like libavcodec/ffmpeg that isn't used for hardware MPEG decoders, but is for DirectFB. -- TH * http://www.realh.co.uk
